Villa Vintour is a new, cosy Provençal holiday home with 4 bedrooms. Located in the peaceful gated estate Les Palivettes, the villa offers panoramic views of the picturesque village of Malaucène and surrounding mountains. In addition to 4 bedrooms (including a family room) and 3 bathrooms, the house features a spacious open kitchen with dining area and a separate cosy lounge with flatscreen smart TV and ethanol fireplace — perfect for cooler winter evenings. During the rest of the year, you'll enjoy the large covered terrace with outdoor kitchen, built-in barbecue, dining table and garden lounge, all overlooking the south-facing private garden with lawn, heated pool (mid-April to end of September), and sun loungers. The house also includes a spacious storage area for bikes and equipment, with games like table tennis (bats and balls included), pétanque and badminton available. An electric vehicle charging station (7.5 kW) is compatible with most major charge cards. Les Palivettes borders a large park with multiple playgrounds for kids, and football, tennis, and basketball courts for older children — even a skate park. Everything is here for a fantastic holiday.
The name of our holiday home, Villa Vintour, comes from the Celtic god of the wind, Vintour, after whom Mont Ventoux is said to be named. It's always windy on the Ventoux — wind speeds of up to 300 km/h have been recorded. You'll find that even in Malaucène, and especially in Les Palivettes, a refreshing breeze can blow during the warm summer months. For us, this is the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace, a relaxing day with friends, or some well-deserved peace and quiet… It's the ideal base for day trips to charming nearby villages, or for hiking and cycling through the stunning natural surroundings. In short: the perfect place to enjoy a fantastic holiday.
Every year, many cycling enthusiasts come to conquer Mont Ventoux — the area's main attraction. Malaucène is one of the three starting points for climbing the "bald mountain." Want to give it a try? Bike rentals are available in the village. Malaucène also offers restaurants, bakeries, cafés, and a small supermarket — all within walking distance of the villa. On the way to Mont Ventoux, you'll pass Mont Serein, where activities include hiking, go-karting, trampolining, horse walks, electric scooter tours, and — in winter — skiing or snowboarding. There's something for everyone. Lovers of charming French villages will feel right at home here: be sure to visit L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Crestet, Vaison-la-Romaine, Gigondas, Crillon-le-Brave… And cities like Avignon and Orange are less than 40 minutes away.
Immerse yourself in the tranquillity of the French countryside, with views of Malaucène and Mont Ventoux. Explore charming villages, walk past Roman ruins, or enjoy a day of adventure in nature.
